Guangxi Academy of Agricultural
Sciences (GXAAS) now is a comprehensive provincial agricultural research
institution under the direct leadership of Guangxi Government. GXAAS consists
of 20 research institutes, 100 innovative teams, 12 branches, and 60 test
stations for special crops. To build a more competitive group, GXAAS is now

I. Obey PRC laws and regulations;
have integrity, good personal qualities, professional ethics and team spirit.
II. Be familiar with agricultural
research; possess good knowledge of the status quo for both domestic and
overseas agricultural research; have high scholarly attainments and clear
research ideas; be capable of proposing strategic, forward-looking and
innovative research plans in related research areas; have strong
decision-making ability and organizational coordination skills; manage
scientific projects well; act as a top team leader.
III. Hold the doctoral degree and
senior technical title. Overseas applicants should have the experience of
teaching or doing research in world-renowned universities, research
institutions or the R&D department of famous enterprises and acquire the
technical title equivalent to professor.
IV. Be in good health and under the
age of 55 (born after Jan 1st, 1963).
V. Work full-time in the academy for
at least 9 months during the employment period.
Employment period & salary
The employment period is five years
and can be extended based on mutual agreement.
Salary & benefits
The “One Person One Policy” rule
applies to the directors. The details are as follows.
I. Salary: annual salary of RMB
300,000-600,000 Yuan excluding perks from achievements transformation,
intellectual properties and key awards.
II. Research fund: RMB 5-10 million
Yuan during the term of employment
III. Office and laboratory space:
priority will be given to the use of office and laboratory space, research
platform building, talent-project application, international communication,
research group building and staffing.
IV. Housing: free use of a 120m2 apartment and
RMB 200,000 will be provided as settling-in allowance.
V. Others: the candidates can enjoy
preferential services according to talents-introduction policies implemented by
Nanning and Guangxi, and GXAAS will help their spouses to find a job and kids
to be admitted to schools. Application of a whole research team is preferable.
VI. The working conditions and
treatment of academicians or special talents shall be subject to "one
person and one policy", which shall not be restricted by the above working
conditions and treatment, and shall be determined by both parties through
